Our finished wood is either ‘retail timber’ bought for purpose, or driftwood/re-cycled wood which has been planed and sanded to produce the clean lines of bought finished wood.  Occasionally, we re-cycle wood such as oak whisky barrel staves (sometimes re-used as fish smoking or fish storage barrels), old boardwalk batons or perhaps wood from a dilapidated boat shed, that technically does not fit into any of our wood categories but which we class as finished wood.  This re-cycled wood may be left naturally weathered, or partly finished. As with our other wood categories, we may finish by staining, oiling or waxing to highlight the grain and natural colours in the wood.
